Ten Finalist Programmes!

URTI reinforces its place at the first rank in international audiovisual Grand Prix

The 32nd edition of the International URTI Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary made it possible to set a new participation record with 317 documentaries presented by international television channels and audiovisual organizations representing 83 countries.


The Preselection Jury, made up of managers from public television channels of twenty countries, met in Paris from April 22 until 25, 2013. Ten documentaries got the finalist statute:


France: Monsieur et Madame Zhang - CNC - Fanny Tondre & Olivier Jobard
Germany: Hungry minds - Radio Bremen TV - Beatrix Schwehm
Greece: Little land - ERT - Nikos Dayandas
Israel: White night - APIMED - Irit Gal
Italy: I am. Bondage stories - RAI - Barbara Cupisti
Japan: Last smiles, gentle partings - NHK - Kotaro Koike
Poland: Escape from paradise - TVP - Ernest Saj
Senegal: Cette couleur qui me dérange - RTS - Khardiata Pouye
Spain: The forgotten - TVE - Carles Caparros
Yemen: The scream - Yemen TV - Khadija Al-Salami

These ten finalist programmes will be viewed from June 8 to 10, 2013 by a Final Jury, made up of managers from public television channels of nineteen countries (Algeria, Belgium, Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, France, Gabon, Guinea Conakry, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Mali, Niger, Palestine, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Chad, and Vietnam), in the framework of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

Youssou N’DOUR will be Claude Lelouch’s successor for the Presidency of this final Jury.


The prize-giving ceremony of this Grand Prix, awarded with 5,000 Dollars, will take place on Monday, June 10 at the Hotel Hermitage (Monte-Carlo) in presence of many international personalities from the audiovisual world.


The musical part of this event will be provided by JACOB, leader of the Band KASSAV.
