Claude Lelouch chairman of the Jury of the URTI 31st International Grand Prix

The Jury of the 31st International URTI Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary (first international audiovisual grand prix) will be chaired by famous French director Claude Lelouch , winner of two Academy Awards and a "Palme d'Or". 

The famous director of the film « Un homme et une femme” (A man and a woman) will lead the final Jury of 17 international TV channel representatives, that will gather from June 9th to 11th in the framework of the prestigious Monte-Carlo TV Festival.


Ten documentaries have reached the finalist statute, among 255 selected programmes in competition selected by 182 international TV channels, representing 72 countries:

Belgium  : Chernobyl, 4Ever - RTBF - Alain de Halleux
Burundi : En attendant le retour des Eléphants - RTNB - Léonce Ngabo
Canada : Tin City Voices - Humber FMTV - Elijah Marchand
France : Stéphane Peyron : Le Voyage à l’Envers - Planète+ Thalassa - Stéphane Peyron
Greece  : Sayome - ERT - Nikos Dayandas
Palestine : Jerusalem Calling - PBC - Raed Duzdar
Philippines : It’s Time - GMA Network - Rember Gelera & Rowena Raganit
Spain : Dimanche à Brazzaville - TV3 - Enric Bach & Adria Monès
Switzerland : Le Juge et Les Mineurs - RTS - Dominique Clément

The award-giving ceremony of this Grand Prix, endowed with 5,000 Dollars, will take place on Monday, June 11th at the Hermitage Hotel (Monte-Carlo).

Cannes 2012 : URTI invites you to the movies

On the occasion of the Festival de Cannes, URTI proposes to its members a "movie special" selection of radio and TV programmes. The menu proposes a "girly" TV series and the brand new radio series "Cinema Stories".

TV offer : "Parfum de femmes" (Scent of women)


                     

"Parfum de femmes" (Scent of women) is a 10 episodes (13' each) produced by France Télévisions. 
It presents a feminine and aesthetical approach of French cinema exclusively highlighting women.

Radio offer : "Histoires de cinéma" (Cinema stories)


On the occasion of the Festival de Cannes (16 to 27 May), France Bleu proposes the second season of the original radio series  « Histoires de Cinéma – season 2 » by Thibaud Gaudry.

Each one of the 10 episodes focuses on a different movie following a chronological order, thus covering half a century of seaside cinema.

31st International Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary - Arman Trophy : 10 finalists

The 31st edition of the International URTI Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary set a new record of participation with 255 documentaries presented by international television channels representing 72 countries. The URTI thus confirms its place at the first rank of international audiovisual Grand Prizes.

The pre-selection Jury meeting in Paris from April 23 until 26, 2012, selected the ten programmes which got the statute of finalist:

These finalist programmes will be viewed from June 9 until 11, 2012, by a final Jury, made up of professionals from about twenty countries, in the framework of the Monte Carlo Television Festival.

The ceremony announcing the results of this Grand Prix, endowed with 5,000 Dollars, will take place on Monday, June 11 at the Hermitage Hotel (Monte-Carlo).
